Summary: Great hotel, very helpful staff, big rooms, good gym and a good pool with lots of sun loungers. Extremely hot while we have been here and the aircon has been working really well.

Summary: Excellent service and cleanliness. But, disappointed with rooftop pool as this was very busy and noisy. I didn’t realised this is shared with sister hotel which made it overcrowded.

We was especially delighted to be upgraded to an executive room. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and offered a level of comfort that exceeded our expectations. This thoughtful gesture made a significant difference in our overall experience. Additionally, the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely surprise and a perfect touch that added to the feeling of being valued as a guest. Summary: We stayed at AX The Palace for a week with 2 children in a family room, which was quite big, with a huge bed for the parents and a sofa bed for the kids. Breakfast was excellent with everything you can think of (from cereals to cooked English breakfast, from vegetables and plenty of salads to fruit and desserts). The indoor swimming pool was a great addition, and we used it daily especially in the afternoons, after exploring Malta during the day. The outdoor pool was a bit chilly for April, but in the summer it must be amazing. As we booked half board we also had 7 dinners. Although the food was great, it felt a bit repetitive on some days. The staff were all fantastic, very helpful and attentive. Location of the hotel is also amazing - in the heart of Sliema, minutes walk from the Valletta ferry and plenty of cafes and restaurant around as well. We used the indoor swimming pool daily in the afternoons, after exploring Malta during the day. The outdoor pool was bigger but it was a bit chilly for us to make use of it on most days. We are sure it's amazing in the summer!

Summary: Check in was great. Family room was massive it was like a Presidential Suite. No toiletries in bathroom, I would expect it to be there. On certain days no on picks up the phone eg reception, housekeeping which was frustrating. Room A/C doesn’t work properly, hair dryer and bathroom tub drain doesn’t work, disappointed. Breakfast was excellent, great selection of full English and continental, juices was poor it was watered down. Breakfast staff was good. Indoor pool was fantastic along with the steam/sauna. Hotel was indeed a palace, very spacious and very close to ferry terminal 8-10min walk. I would not rate this as a 5 star premium hotel. It’s lacking in some areas. But a very good stay although.
